Alan grew up in Nelson and took up the game of golf in 2002 at the age of 14, playing representative golf for Nelson & Tasman from 2003-2006. Alan then began his Traineeship in 2007, graduating in 2009 & being crowned "Player of the Year". Coaching is a passion for Alan and as an accomplished player himself, he understands what it takes to play the game at a high level. Whatever your level & experience, Alan has the tools to improve your game.

Tim BerryAssistant Golf Professional
Tim began the game of golf in Reporoa at age 15. Sport has always been Tim’s passion, particularly cricket, squash & basketball. However, after completing his university degree, Tim chose to pursue a career in golf, starting his PGA traineeship in 2019. Tim graduated at the end of 2021, and was named as “Trainee of the Year” for all 3 years. Tim loves coaching players of all abilities and is passionate about helping you achieve your goals.

Brydie HodgeJunior Golf Co-Ordinator
Brydie started her golf journey at the age of 5 after growing up in Levin watching her older brother play. Brydie’s main passion is the Junior Golf programme, providing a positive and fun learning environment for our youth. Brydie’s bubbly personality makes learning golf exciting and stress free, so be sure to get in touch with her if you are looking to start out, either by yourself or with a group of friends.

André WhiteGolf Operations
André was first introduced to golf in school at age 17. Only 2 1/2 years later, André was a trainee professional & had qualified for the NZ Open. André went on to play throughout New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific Islands, and Asia in Professional Tournaments, winning a number of Pro-Am events. In 2005 André moved to the Manawatu Golf Club and has since remained part of our successful club, membership, retail and coaching operation.
